Description
Baileys 3 square metre Premium Fibreglass Repair Kit is ideal for repairing larger leaks, cracks, splits, and holes in fibreglass GRP. The fibreglass repair kit contains: 3 x 1kg of high quality Lloyds approved polyester resin, 3 x 1m² of 450g chopped strand matting (CSM) and 3 x 20ml of MEKP liquid hardener. The resin has excellent adhesion properties and is widely used for general boat / marine repairs and maintenance, as well as mould making, motorcycle / automotive repairs, canoe / kayak repair projects and many more repairs. The resin is a low-styrene, pre-accelerated laminating / hand lay-up resin used in thousands of repair projects. The Premium resin has a slightly longer gel time of 15 to 20 minutes, which is perfect for larger repairs to get the job finished before it cures.
When mixing with MEKP hardener use the ratio 2 parts MEKP hardener to 100 parts Premium resin (MEKP ratio can be increased in colder conditions or decreased in warmer conditions).
Baileys Premium CSM Chopped Strand Fibreglass Matting is 2 times thicker than their standard glass fibre mat. Baileys recommend using 2-3 layers of Premium matting for a strong repair. When cured each layer is approximately 1.2mm thick.
