Description
The Cage is an accessory that allows ropes to be cleated and uncleated at an angle of up to 70 degrees, rather than only in line with the cleat. Adding Cages to cleats fitted with Keepers will allow the helmsman or crew to adjust a control line from different positions quickly, easily, positively and without fear of accidental cleating. Simply pull the rope back at an angle and it is guided down into the teeth, as shown in the sketches below. The stainless steel rear fairlead provides a long life under racing conditions.CL817 is used with CL815 Keeper and CL211 Mk2 or CL272 cleat.A CL819 Tapered Pad can also be fitted underneath to angle the whole assembly.
