Description
This version of the smallest Aero cleat has a becket for rigging with a 4:1 ratio. Strong, compact and wear resistant. Easy to rig and adjust by CL828 Aero base is fitted with the CL270 aluminium Micros cleat. The becket under the cleat allows rigging with a 4:1 this Aero cleat where you want a rig with 4:1 advantage. Ideal for forestay tensioning on small dinghies. The CL828-70 is race legal for tensioning the forestay on the Mirror dinghy. Rig as shown in the photo and use a CL262 to increase your pulling power and get the forestay really tight. Also used for sports netting, canvas structures, sun sails, tie-downs, radio masts and position of the cleat on the rope can be adjusted by hand. No tools required. For ropes 3-4mm (1/8″-5/32″) in our PT5107 or PT5110 titanium thimbles, instead of pulley blocks, for a simple and trouble free 4:1 rig. Which finish to choose? The Clamcleat® CL828-68 has a silver finish cleat and is perfect for most conditions, both inland and in seawater. The Clamcleat® CL828-68AN has a hard anodised cleat. Better for very agressive seawater and sandy beaches. You may also prefer the dark grey 24gm (0.85oz). Length 60mm (2 3/8″).
