Epifanes Epoxy HB Coat – High-build 2-component primer

Epifanes Epoxy HB Coat is a powerful 2-component primer that quickly builds thick layers. This is crucial for maximum protection against rust on steel and for preventing osmosis (plastic plague) in fiberglass hulls. It can be used both interior and exterior, above as well as below the waterline.

Properties & Advantages:

• High build: Quickly creates the protective layer required for long-lasting durability.
• Versatile: Can be applied by brush, roller or spray.
• Easy to work with: No sanding required between coats if the next coat is applied within 48 hours.
• Compatibility: Overpaintable with all Epifanes two-component paints.

Technical Information & Application:

• Recommended thickness: 200 µm (above the waterline) / 400 µm (below the waterline).
• Coverage: Approx. 9 m² per liter at 65 µm thickness.
• Drying time (20°C): Dust-dry after 2 hours, recoatable after 6 hours.
• Important: If the next layer is delayed by more than 48 hours, the surface must be degreased and sanded with P180–220.
• Thinner: Epifanes D-601 (for both brush and spray).
