Description
| 4.8 x 32 | ST4.8 | 9.5 mm | 3.1 mm | TX25 | A2 Stainless Steel |
Pan head Torx self-drilling screw manufactured in A2 stainless steel (~200 HV hardness). Suitable for drilling and threading in softer materials such as aluminium, plasterboard, and plastics. Not suitable for hardened steels or alloys with hardness equal to or greater than the screw material.
Made from A2 (304) stainless steel, these screws provide corrosion resistance and reliable fastening in sheet materials and light sections. The self-drilling point eliminates the need for pre-drilling, while the tapping screw thread cuts into the substrate to ensure a strong, vibration-resistant hold.
The pan head offers a wide bearing surface and neat finish, while the hexalobular (Similar to Torx) drive delivers excellent torque transfer with reduced risk of cam-out, making installation faster and more secure than with conventional Phillips drives.
Key Features:
Material: A2 (304) stainless steel corrosion resistant
Head: Pan head for broad clamping surface
Drive: Hexalobular (Similar to Torx) socket (TX size varies with diameter)
Function: Self-drilling tip with self-tapping thread
Applications: Fixing thin sheet metal, aluminium profiles, brackets, and general construction tasks
Suitable for indoor and outdoor environments
Not recommended for drilling hardened steels (>200 HV)
These pan head drilling screws combine quick installation, secure drive engagement, and corrosion resistance, making them ideal for engineering, fabrication, HVAC, and general assembly in softer materials.
