Description
Engine: easy access in case of maintenance of the power and lubrication systems, of the sea water pump and of the air filter. Safety stop in case of low oil pressure. Safety stop against overtemperature of engine and exhaust gas. Double vibration dumping system. Easy-to-replace oil and fuel filter. Oil drain pump provided.
Alternator: synchronous, 2 poles, self-adjusted, self-excited, brushless. Weatherproof epoxy-resin coated rotor and stator. Dynamically balanced rotor. H insulation class. Safety stop against coiling overtemperature.
Soundproof cabinet: self-bearing frame made of aluminium profiles and lightweight coated marine 5754 aluminium alloy panels featuring extremely high weatherproof properties. Very good access to the inside housing for easier maintenance operations even when the genset is installed in confined places.
Cooling system:
Air/water: the cooling system consists of an air/sea water exchanger. The air flows provide an efficient cooling and the optimal temperature for the best performance and reliability of the generator. This system ensures better operating conditions for the genset despite the room temperature of the onboard housing.
Coolant/water: the cooling of the engine is based on a coolant closed circuit controlled by a seawater/coolant heat exchanger.
Air inside the alternator is cooled by a seawater/air heat exchanger.
This system makes cooling of alternator more effective and achieve optimal temperature for best performance and reliability of the generating set despite the room temperature of the onboard housing.
