Description
This unit is a protective device that acts as the hub and safety net for your Lithium system. It connects to Victron’s lithium batteries and enables the entire battery bank to be protected against over/under voltage and over temperature.
It connects to the daisy-chain connectors on the batteries which enables it to monitor each cell individually. It also connects to a Victron Multiplus, Quattro, Phoenix inverter or Phoenix charger via an RJ45 data cable. It is also used to control a Cyrix Li-ct or a Cyrix Li-charge relay to disconnect the charger/load in the event of under/over-voltage and over-temperature.
In a deep discharge situation the VE Bus connection enables loads to be disconnected via Victron’s “Battery Protect” before the battery becomes discharged so deeply that the BMS needs to disconnect it, that level can be set with a BMV.
NOTE: This product is specific to lithium installs.
