Description
This Vermiculite fireboard is ideal for use as a fire surround or can be cut with a saw to fit inside a multi-fuel stove to replace the firebricks. The fireproof board will withstand heat up to 1100°C (2010°F) with very good insulation properties for indoor or covered applications. Fireboard is one complete sheet. Dimensions:1000mm x 610mm x 25mm.
Vermiculite Fire Boards can be used as a heat shield, a register plate above a free-standing stove or even replacement firebricks for the inside of a stove. Applications include: fireplaces, stoves, heaters, range cookers, boilers, night storage heaters, vessels & tanks and hobby kilns.
– “Vermiculite” is a naturally occurring non-toxic, asbestos-free aluminium-magnesium silicate material.
– The board can be worked easily with wood working tools, it can be sawn, drilled and sanded.
– The edges of the board & the flue pipe can be sealed to the board using Vitcas Heat Resistant Silicone Sealant (part number: HR-SILICONE).
– The board can be fixed to a wall by drilling & screwing or by using Vitcas Heat Resistant Board Adhesive or HB60.
– For finish decoration Vitcas recommend spraying with Heat Resistant Paint Spray or you can seal the board with PVA and tile with Vitcas Heat Resistant Tile Adhesive.
