Upgrade your Helm Master EX system to Level 4 to unlock the ultimate in precise boat handling and manoeuvrability.

The Yamaha Helm Master EX joystick integrates shift, throttle and steering into a single intuitive control, designed to make close quarters handling effortless. The ergonomic, high quality joystick enables precise movement in any direction, giving the operator confidence when approaching shallow areas or tight moorings.

Helm Master EX level 4 unlocks all of Yamaha’s functionality which are accessible directly through the joystick and autopilot panel. These advanced positioning modes include: Stay Point, Fish Point, Drift Point, Heading Hold, Course Hold, Track Point and Pattern Steer. In addition, the joystick can be used to make fine adjustments to speed and course while underway or when autopilot is engaged, providing seamless control across a wide range of boating scenarios.

With twin and triple engine installations, the joystick becomes an even more powerful tool, independently controlling each outboards shift and steering to allow the boat to move in ways that would otherwise be impossible with conventional controls.

Autopilot Functions:

Heading Hold – With the push of a button, the boat automatically maintains the current compass heading, but the course will not be compensated for wind and currents. The function is, for example, very useful in speed-restricted areas where boats often want to veer slightly instead of keeping a straight course.

Course Hold The system automatically adjusts the boat to keep course and compensates for currents and winds.

Track Point With Autopilot integrated into Helm Master Ex, you can now get to your destination more easily and efficiently. Mark your route or destination in your compatible Garmin GPSMap chart plotter and Helm Master Ex Track Point follows the entered route and takes you to your destination.

Pattern Steer – Automates steering patterns such as zigzag, spiral, Williamson turn and pattern search, useful for fishing in a target location, searching an area or recovering a MOB.

Joystick Functions:

Drift Point Stays on course, with single or multi-engine setup. With Drift Point track, the boat moves along a route you set while the bow maintains the course/direction. Simply set the route via the display and the boat then drifts along it. This feature comes in handy when drifting along rocks to maintain distance to the edge.

Fish Point Holds position, with single or multi-motor mounting. Find your position and activate Fish Point, then the boat maintains its position but is allowed to rotate around its own axis. A practical function when fishing right next to or under the boat as the motor works more quietly at low speeds.

Stay Point Holds position and course, multi-engine mounting only. Stay Point is great when you want the boat to move as little as possible. Activate and the boat will be held still in both position and direction within a few meters.
